“Building homes and friendships” truly represents the commitment, expertise, congeniality, and creativity that Ben and his entire team have displayed every single day while building for us the first brand new home that we have ever had. We decided over a year ago to make the move to the Comox Valley from the Lower Mainland and spent several months looking for the right resale house. We had the good fortune to first meet Ben in his show home when we wandered in after another fruitless search for just the right house.

We had originally never considered having a house built but after two or three meetings with Ben, we were completely sold on the opportunity to have a new and unique home built for us by Benco. Ben’s experience, his solid community reputation, and his engaging personality provided us with complete confidence to build a new house with the Benco team.

We are thrilled with our beautiful new home. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Karlene and Tammy who patiently guided us through the interior design process with good humour and practical advice. They never seemed to tire of our endlessly repeated question to them, “Ok—what would you do here?” after asking us to make choices. They interpreted our preferences brilliantly and have given us just the light, airy, spacious home that we envisioned. And we learned a lot in the process! We also appreciate Wendy’s financial acumen and her timely and straightforward updates and reports.

Ben’s personal involvement every step of the way has impressed us. His commitment to every detail of our home has been evident in his regular consultations with us and in his on site visits to attend to construction details. There are not many CEOs who will be on site regularly working alongside the construction team. Ben’s leadership success is evident in the integrity of his relationships with both his staff and clients.

We thank the whole huge Benco team who took such a personal interest in our home. The craftsmanship and perfection of every team member’s work is truly admirable. Every person that we met has been unfailingly outgoing, committed to the highest standards, and clearly proud to be part of the Benco team.

My husband and I just love our new Benco Home. We met Ben by accident one day while touring Crown Isle and were very impressed with him and his knowledge of home building – so impressed that we decided to have Ben build our retirement home.

Ben helped us pick out and purchase the perfect lot and helped us begin planning for our new home. Ben listened to what we wanted in a home, took our plan and simply made it better. We wanted a spectacular fireplace design and he made it happen. He was very amenable to planning a home that would suit our needs now and yet incorporate a few changes so that we could enjoy it well into our “golden years.”

We lived in Alberta full-time while the house was being built and if you do not live in Courtenay then this is the builder for you. I cannot say enough about the support staff Ben has working closely with him. Karlene designed a kitchen perfect for our needs as well as keeping me informed as to the progress of our house with e-mails and pictures. No question ever went unanswered. If I was worried about some aspect of the build, I just e-mailed Karlene. Tammy spent an entire day with me sorting out the interior design elements and her suggestions were invaluable. Wendi is the most efficient paperwork person ever. I have to comment on the sub-trades that work for Ben – all of them drywallers, painters, cabinet makers, landscapers, etc. were the nicest people ever.

I want to extend a big thank-you to all the Benco Group for making us feel like our house was the most important one they worked on! We highly recommend Benco to anyone wanting to builda new home.

Ben, thanks, you have built us ” the home of our dreams “. Over the years we have built a number of homes, but never have we had such a positive and rewarding experience. You made us feel that your goal was our ultimate satisfaction, not the delivery of an on “time and on budget house”, (though you accomplished both ). You delivered on what was promised, and you dealt with our,modifications, change requests and ditherings with patience, understanding and empathy.

What a tremendous team you have assembled They made us feel that our home was their top priority. Not only are they all dedicated professionals who are experts in their trades, but they are all friendly, gregarious individuals that I got to know, and befriend. ( Lord knows that I spent a lot of time on the on the construction site ! ).

A special thanks to Karlene, what a manager ! No request was too small or trivial, she dealt with them all in a friendly and timely manner. By the way she also makes the best pickled salmon that we have ever had…………..thanks !

Ben, should there be another home in our future undoubtedly we would ask you to build it.

Hello BENCO ‘family’…

We chose Benco to build for us because of their reputation in the community. We were not disappointed. During the course of construction, we made changes … sometimes it was just our minds.. and the accommodation by BENCO was superb.

We always felt BENCO was as interested in our new home as we were. We are thoroughly happy, we would use BENCO again and readily recommend. By the way…. our frequent use of the BENCO name refers to all who had a part in the bringing to completion our new home. We know most of you now by name and certainly want to thank ALL of the BENCO ‘family’…..

I wanted to send a note to personally thank you and every-one on your team for their professionalism, hard work and dedication during the entire process of building of our new home which simply exceeded our expectations! This was our first crack at it and the decisions required were much more than we had ever anticipated but you and your team kept us grounded, organized and capable of getting each and every one of them mastered and in a timely fashion so as not to delay your team nor ultimately the move in date, which was as promised!

You have a great crew of people working for you and you should be very proud of them! They work very hard and they completed every task diligently and with all of our best interests at heart! Your designers, Karlene and Tammy were both great to work with and very capable of assisting us in pulling it all together with their finishing touches!

We simply love our new home and can’t thank you enough for your input, foresight and “outside-the-box” design ideas and completing tasks to all of our satisfaction!

Ben, you are clearly an expert when it comes to analyzing what a customer wants and your design skills are commendable.

Your entire ‘team’ went out of their way to ensure that your high standards of design, finishing, quality of product and customer satisfaction were met, and we commend you for that.
